Miami International Airport is located 8 miles or 13 kilometers from the center of Miami’s business district. It is placed in between the cities of Miami, Doral, Hialeah, Miami Springs, Virginia Gardens, and the community of Fontainebleau. The Miami International Airport is considered to be the main international airport of South Florida. It is also recognized as the gateway to the United States as well as Latin America. Miami International Airport is ranked first among the busiest airports in United States. It is also considered as the main aerial gateway to the South Americas since it is near various tourist spots and can be easily accessed by a large population of Latin Americans and Europeans. The Miami International Airport offers services such as long-haul international flights, chartered flights, and cargo flights. The airport has a good location for various air traffics that come from different destinations from the United States to Europe.
Miami International Airport is designed as a number eight where its eight concourses are placed in a counter-clockwise direction. The airport has parking spaces for short-term and long-term. The short-term parking spaces are located near Terminal 1, while there are two long-term parking spaces named as Dolphin and Flamingo. There is also a parking space for their disabled passengers.
